I was recently quoted $595 for a one hour hire of a stretch Hummer in Perth WA whaich was what I got a 3/4 day tour of the Nappa Valley for in California. I really love Hummer limos in Perth but they are so expensive Why?|||Import costs.
I wouldn't worry though, they're the cheapest, tackiest transport there is.|||Hi As the owner of Perth Stretch Hummers I can answer that one for you. Firstly $595 seems a little steep. Our prices start at $450-$495. The reason for the cost is two fold. Firstly the vehicle by the time it asrrives in Australia is roughly twice the price it is in America. So for example our last Hummer cost us $323,000. At the factory door in America the same car costs $168,000.
Secondly it is usage. In America a limo can be used for around 4-5 hours a day 7 days a week. This means at $150 per hour (the cost in America) the Hummer limo could return around $5000. This covers driver repayments etc. Also in America multiple hours are the norm soif you take your car to dinner it will sit there until you are done and take you home thats 4 hours on one job.
In Australia, and I am only talking about limo hire in Perth the customer would pay for one hour in and one hour out. So , basically a Hummer limo will get twice as much work with a driver costing half as much as in Australia, with petrol costing half as much (or close).
If we did a Swan Valley Wine tour we would charge you $1200 for 5 hours thats $240Au comapred to $150US. For that little extra you would get a lot more with extras like karaok, soft drinks, ice, water, a better detialed car. I was in Vegas recently (May) and the limos were not of the quality or standard they are here. The one I rode in had a metal floor and minimal lights.
Shop around and you will find reasonably priced Hummers in Perth. You can check out our website to see the range of cars and a guide to the level of service supplied. www.perthhummer.com.au and happy Hummering
