Should you be allowed to drive a hummer now that oil production has peaked?

Doesn't that just use up the limited amount thats left at a much higher rate and drive up prices? It seems quite selfish honestly.|||you and I agree fully. I advocate bio-mass conversion fuel using industrial hemp instead of corn|||dont be angry because you cant afford a big car!|||It's really NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS what I or anyone else wants to drive. Go hug your trees somewhere else.|||Neither oil production nor prices have peaked. Most people in any country complain of government intervention %26amp; restrictions in their lives. What you suggest in your question is that the government should dictate even more about what type of vehicle a citizen can own and drive. Not a good idea.|||it may be selfish, but we are a capitalistic society, and the people who buy hummers arent thinking about being selfish and using a large supply of gas, their thinking about their needs and what they want to buy with their money.|||The way i see it.. Unless your on a battle field, or rugged mountain trail..HELL NO! The Hummer, a great machine by the way, is not meant for use on the highways and especially streets of this nation or the planet. 50k to start, insurance, fuel, tax, maintenance, etc. WHY? Why would you waste your money? I can think of a few good trucks that can do what the H1,2,3 can do, for half the price and cost.|||no|||As long as this is still the USA YES. This is not Russia, China, or France. However, I welcome your immegratio to those countries.|||No, I saw guy on tv driving one and said he could afford the gas. Well when it is gone being able to pay 1,000$ a gallon will do no good if there are no gallons to sell.
