Is it worth it to restore a 1952 Harley Hummer?

I have the option of restoring a bike of this nature and I was wondering if it would be worth it? Where can I find parts and stuff for it if I do decide to do this project?|||What do you mean by "worth it"? Will you get your money out? That depends on what you started with, and what kind of restoration you do. I have seen guys spend $3500 on a full boat restoration of a small 2-stroke.

Only rarely will the market allow you to make much money. If the bike is fairly interesting, like a Puch twingle, you might break even. The Hummer is not technically interesting. The only thing it has going for it is the Harley name. Without that, a perfect one might be worth $500-1000. The Harley name probably puts it in a range where you might get your money out.

Now, if you are asking if the project is worth it in terms of pride and satisfaction, then I'd say that is why most restorers are into it.|||1952 HARLEY-DAVIDSON M/S 125 HUMMER 125cc:

Excellent: $5,100

Very Good: $2,750

Good: $1,650

Fair: $1,000

Poor: $700

Hope this gives you a ballpark figure on value.|||It is certainly worth it!You can find parts at swap meets,The best I've seen are motorcycle vintage days.Go toAmericanMotorcyclist.com for info on dates .One in Cal.,one in Ohio.

Why do people buy a large SUV or a Hummer?

Since 9/11, when it got clear to the last idiot, that we support the terrorists with our thirst for oil, I have seen actually more people getting gaz guzzling behemoth then ever. What are they for? My Mini Van gets 28 miles to the gallon, rides more comfortalbe and has more space then any of this truck like dinosaurs.|||people wanna look cool and show that they can try to afford to put the gas in those things|||Some SUVs are purchased as status symbols, with the Cadillac Escalade as the most prominent example, by showing that someone has the resources to not care how much their vehicle costs to purchase or refuel. Others are used for their named purpose, of sport utility, by outdoor sports enthusiasts who enjoy the large cargo capacity along with a high ground clearance and 4WD for off-road driving.

Please, however, keep politics in the political discussion areas.|||too look rich and fly as hell|||convenience|||Most of the SUV's that I see are usually bought by families who have two or more children.

People buy Hummers just to be noticed.|||I drive a Hummer and I get 19 mpg's....thats better than A LOT of vehicles out there. I got it because it is awesome and I absolutely love it.|||there just trying to keep up with the jones(a clear case of one

up manship ) and then they get the attitude (i got a suv ,and i own the road) and when they pass me i let them know that

there number one with me (even though i use the wrong finger

to let them know that).|||Well, one man's food is another man's poison...it depends on each person's taste and choice. I do not like a mini van at all. Thank you.

If you are so worried about the saving gas, mileage etc I would say you should immediately sell your mini van and buy some bicycles or try walking to wherever you can possibly walk to. All the very best.|||different people have differnt taste in cars? i personally like suv because i think they look better also cause im tall and im lazy to bend down to get into a car =x and suv are more convients for family of 5+ hummers are fun because of there high suspension?|||Thank God it's still a free country where you can buy whatever you can afford.

Many people favor larger vehicle because they need the room for their families, towing capacity, hauling groceries and other supplies, etc. If you have a large family it's tuff to cram them into a Hyundai. And many folks use their cars for work and play. Towing a boat, snowmobile, camper, etc. isn't a job for a small car.

I have large and small vehicles...I own two class 8 trucks (A peterbilt and an International). I also own two British Triumphs which are pretty small. My daily driver is a 6 cylinder Ford F-150 and a Lincoln Continental. My Lincoln gets 26 MPG on the highway. I can live with that.|||Take this tear jerker to the Politics section please.....

How do i take the dash apart in my hummer h2?

I bought a carbon fiber dash that replaces the existing piece how ever i can't seem to figure out how to get the handle that is by the passenger side airbag off... please help...|||in the back of the owners manual there is a order form for repair manuals for your specific gm vehicle these are not crappy hains manuals these are the real deal vehicle you are driving repair manuals they are a little pricey but hey you own a hummer are you really worried about price i recommend getting them if you are going to do any heave work on your vehicle trust me they are the best thing since sliced bread if you cant get them from the book as the dealer. another rout is get the dealer or garage to disable it temp|||you dont! take it in or that airbag is gonna knock you into a coma|||put a ied in the drivers seat!!!!|||It's not a job you want to tackle, I've done it and it really sucks, but if your determined, start by removing the ceter console and then the center panel of the dash,

Be sure to disable the airbags by removing the fuse for the srs, and disconnecting the battery. good luck

Does anyone know where i can rent a pink hummer limo in temecula california?

i am having a sweet 16 and i wanted a pink limo

but cant find one? any ideas?|||rihannaFAN678, I used a Hummer limo last month for my roomate's prom party. Although I'm not near California, I found a good list of resources here: http://www.limoservicepro.com/California鈥?/a> Maybe one of your local limosine service companies can help give you recommendations for your event.

Good Luck!|||You might find a pink hummer limo from any of the limo companies from this directory. http://www.limoquoter.com/directory/loca鈥?/a>|||Hi, Try a search at http://www.LimoXonline.com|||you gotta be rich

What do anyone think of the Hummer HX Concept?

To me it's alright but, to me it's just another not-so-hummer vehicle as the H! was and always will be.

What do ya'll think?|||hate it, waste of money and gas!|||i love it! i think its the best looking one! two door hardcore offroad suv which gets better mileage than the regular h2.

What games to play in a Hummer Limo?

I'm having my 13th birthday party on Friday, %26amp; We're having a Hummer Limo pick us up from school early, take us out to eat%26amp; then to Carowinds [local amusment park]. But the ride to Carowinds is about 2 hours from start to finish. There are going to be girls and guys there but I dont know what fun games to play, no kiddy ones.

Some bad dares/dies would be good too(:

Your estimate of how much my hummer would cost?

For my 12th I wont to take 10 of my friends in a hummer ( possibly pink ) to a shopping center just out of town , after doing two stops on the way to here to collect my friends. How much to you think this would cost ? I'm gunna try and phone up later cuzz i couldnt get threw|||Well it's impossible to take 10 friends in a hummer because it is a 7 passenger unless you make your friends sit on each others laps. If you want a hummer limo it would cost around 90000 to 80000.|||Well you got a H1, H2, H3 and a H3T in the hummer line, But as far as 10 friends packed into a hummer you are talking about a H2 strech limo, rental will run you about 125 to 200 for 3-4 hrs

BUT again the H2 looks cool but not much in the way of comfort with leg and head room. Have you ever thought of a party bus or van? Lots of stand up room and during the day you can get a lower rate than at night, and it should run about 75 to a 100 more than the H2|||The money would be better spent on spelling, grammar and punctuation lessons. It would run several hundred dollars and would be an absolute waste of resources.|||you mean renting a hummer limosine?
