What is the truth about Hummer gas mileage?

I consider myself very environmentally conscious in most ways but the H2 Hummer is my dream car. How bad are they really? Owners only. No judgments, just the facts.|||12.8-13.1 mpg based on owner survey data.|||It is a pickup with a square body, that is all it is. It is the same frame as the Escalades, Tahoes, %26amp; most of the pickups. It just has a larger %26amp; more of a square body. Gas mileage is the same for all of them|||the hummer is a pos vehicle. GM only made it to capitalize on the name Hummer. The H2 shares the same platform with other GM suvs yet is much more expensive than the SUVs it shares the platform with. why? Its all because of the name.|||Pretty similar to any other full size SUV with a V8. Its a heavy brick shaped truck with a big engine.|||Don't own one, sorry, BUT my uncle claims to get 12 miles/gal.
