What are the downsized of buying a hummer? What are some of the major problem to be aware of?

I want to know more about the most problem that hummer pose with the exception of gas. How much will the insurance be if i lived in baltimore.|||They're overpriced, unreliable, handle poorly, and are hard to park|||Expensive...very expensive gas hogs... they have poor agility when it comes to turning cornors...why would you want one?|||wow care about the environment much...|||one parking lots are not made for larger suv's...some areas ya have the environmentlists that can be rather rude|||it gets terrible gas mileage 5 miles to the gallon

cost to much 50'000 (new)

rough ride too (BUMPY)|||EATS GAS, SLOW, ROUGH RUNING,REPAIR MOST ENGIN,BUT HAS A GOOD TOUGH FRAME AND GOOD FOR SNOW AND OFF ROAD|||besides fuel mileage, tree huggers will hate you for destroying the environment (even though thats not true) and other people will know the size of your package (non-existent) by looking at your douche mobile. If it is an H1, you would be king but the other two are not even worthy of the name. Hope this helps.|||Ok guys. Let's do some research before you post these foolish answers. I am the owner of an H3, and yes I'm a female. I am about to clear up each and every one of these answers that are false.

TURNING CORNERS? - AMAZING! A 360 is no problem. My H3 actually turns better than my 07 Honda Accord Coupe. It is 4WD, so of course it is going to turn great. It is quite easy to park too. I've never had any problems and I am out and about in the town every day.

5 MPG? - Are you an idiot? My H3 gets 14-18, which is THE SAME AS A TAHOE!!!!! How many of those are out there on the road? Tahoe and Hummer run the same in reference to pollution and emissions. Did you consider talking down the Chevy owners too?

OVERPRICED? - No. If you are going to pay for an SUV, you are going to pay about the price the H3 costs. Ours is loaded with everything except navigation and it only cost 36K. Compare that to other loaded SUV's: Toyota Highlander 37K, Chevy Tahoe 43K, Lexus RX 41K, and I could go on and on.

As for the Hummer name, we have been pleased thus far. I would recommend the H3 to others. I am happy that we did not get the Tahoe or other SUV's that we had considered.|||While everyone has a there own take on the Hummer I happen to know it's one of the worst polluters, not to mention very practical in terms of energy use. If you buy a new one expect a heavy hit in depreciation. Depending on the application you plan to use the Hummer for their are better, more efficient choices out there. May not hurt to do some checking. Good luck %26amp; enjoy!|||Hummers are vile...don't do it!|||if only i had a hummer , yummie!!!!|||A couple of things I''''m having issues with; I''''ve had an ''''05 H2 SUT for about a year now and a few weeks ago started getting the "Service 4WD" indication on the instrument panel. I''''ve asked a few service techs about it and am getting different answers. One actually called it the "Money Light." Another said that it is nothing to worry about and still another said that it most likely a scheduled maintenence item that pops up when a pre-set mileage hits.
