Interesting camera angle in Hummer ad. How the heck did they so this?

In this Hummer H2 ad, the Camera circles around the car as if time has frozen. I don't think it is CG because the shot starts and ends with live action. Not to mention Hummer's ad ageny (Modernista) seems to avoid using CG whenever possible.|||AFTP has nailed it.

they use several cameras on a platform of some sort, they record the images, then in editing (like Avidpro) they cut the footage together into one sequence.

a|||I suppose that's what camera people are capable of these days. (Not to mention "special effects.")|||They circle the H3 with cameras about 2-3 feet apart. when it seems as though the car is frozen it is just the same shot from all cameras edited in in sequence.|||The previous answer is correct. Basically this technique is quite low-tech for the fact that over 100 years ago Muybridge used multiple cameras to capture action.

However, this technique is different in that a series of cameras, usually 30 or more (1 frame is equivalent to 1/30 of a second as tv runs at 30 frames per second), partially encircles the subjec(can't encircle the image all at once , and instead of being fired in a progression, they are synchronized to fire at the same time.
